The spring practice schedule is now available. Spring practices will begin on Monday, February 28 for all groups.

All swimmers will remain in their current groups through April 11, 2022.
Great Work at Senior Mets
Our swimmers who raced at the 2022 Senior Metropolitan Championships this weekend in Long Island did a great job. The AGUA girls came home with a second-place finish in the overall team scores. Bella Gary won a silver medal in the 200 breaststroke, and Alia Basler, Sonia Seliger, Azana Karim, and Emma Feld brought home a bronze for the 400 freestyle relay team.

Special shoutout to Alegra Teixidor-Salerno and Oliver Shao for outstanding swims. Alegra posted the sixth-fastest time in the country this season for 13-year-old girls in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:18.99. Oliver set two new AGUA team records in the 13 to 14 boys 1000 (9:51.61) and 1650 (16:20.54) freestyles.

The AGUA coaches would like to thank Alia Basler, Daijin Dorsey-Reyes, Bella Gary and Alegra Teixidor-Salerno for standing out as RAD teammates and exemplifying our team values of respect, accountability, and discipline.

Custom AGUA Caps Are Now Available
Ultimate Swim Shop is accepting orders for personalized AGUA swim caps now through March 1, 2022. All customized caps will be delivered by late April. Caps may be customized with swimmers' last names only.

Become a Part of Big Swim Big Kick
You can be featured as a lead sponsor of Big Swim Big Kick at our Big Benefit dinner. Show your support for our biggest annual celebration of sports and fitness, this year honoring coach David Rodriguez and our other wonderful coaches.
Big Benefit will be a dinner held on Wednesday, April 27 at 583 Park Avenue from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. Those sponsoring the event will help Asphalt Green support our coaches and all the good work they do for the community.

Masks at Asphalt Green

Masks are always required outside of the pool. This includes the pool deck, locker rooms, lobby, and all shared spaces.

Swimmers who enter the pool deck without a mask on will not be permitted to practice.

Long Course Season Updates
  • Group placements - Long course season group placements will be announced this week. Please note, this may result in practice schedule changes for swimmers who are turning 11, 13, or 15 before June 1. 
  • AGUA spring break - There will be no AGUA practices April 2 through April 10. Group placements will begin on Monday, April 11 under the spring schedule. All swimmers will remain in their current groups through April 11.
Save the Date: AGUA Summer Swim Camps
Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for AGUA summer swim camp registration details. Camps will be held during the following weeks:

  • Rising Star Camp (ages 7 to 10) - June 27 to July 1, 2022
  • Elite Camp (ages 10 to 13) - July 11 to July 15, 2022
