Congratulations 15-16 Virtual Club
Championship Scorers!
|
The USA Swimming Virtual Club Championship program recognizes and highlights clubs that develop athletes and achieve success at multiple levels in club swimming. It emphasizes the team element in club swimming, and teams are scored using the USA Swimming power point system.
The Virtual Club Championship runs from the start to finish of each swim season. To earn points, teams may score two swimmers per event and age group, while individual swimmers are
limited to contributing four swims. Swimmers must be 11 years old or older to score points.
Congratulations to all AGUA athletes on our highest VCC score in program history with 231,995 points for the 2022 short course season. We will be recognizing our swimmers who scored in the VCC this season over the next four weeks, starting with our youngest athletes.

Welcome Coach Kalee Walcott |
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new assistant coach in Battery Park City, Kalee Walcott!
Originally from Florida and more recently based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Kalee has been working with kids since 2007. From 2014 to 2022, Kalee was the head age group 10-and-under coach for the Granite Falls Makos. There, she excelled in bringing swimmers from the lesson program to the team and overseeing evaluations for group placement. Kalee’s athletes consistently qualified for the North Carolina Age Group Championships and placed top eight in multiple events.
After relocating to New York City, Kalee spent several months teaching after-school programs with Curated Care. There, she built connections with the community and fostered relationships with students at schools such as Sacred Heart and Poly Prep, while teaching a wide variety of
extracurricular subjects.
Kalee’s coaching method is strongly based on coach/athlete relationships. She firmly believes every athlete has something to contribute and an area where they can thrive, and no swimmer should be overlooked. Building confidence, encouragement, and trust is crucial to success both in the pool and in life. She is looking forward to continuing to share her knowledge and love of swimming with AGUA athletes.

- Senior Prep Green and Gold will swim from 6:30pm to 8pm at Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus. Senior Prep Gold and Green drylands are canceled.
- AG3 Gold will swim from 4pm to 5:30pm at Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus. Dryland is canceled.
Saturday, May 14, 2022
- Senior II will swim from 7am to 9:30am at Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus. Dryland will be from 9:45am to 10:30am.
- Senior I will swim from 10am to 12pm at Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus. Dryland will be from 9am to 9:45am.
- BPC and UES AG2 and AG3 practices are canceled.
