Final Call: Required MAAPP Acknowledgement
USA Swimming, AGUA's national governing body, requires every family to read and acknowledge the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) by this Friday, September 30.
MAAPP was designed to prioritize the safety of athletes and addresses one-on-one interactions, social media and electronic communications, local and team travel, locker rooms and changing areas, and athletic training modalities.

2022-2023 Meet Updates
Please review the 2022-2023 short course meet calendar. Be sure to note which groups are eligible for each meet.
AGUA Season Starter

Who: All groups

When: Saturday, October 8 to Sunday, October 9, 2022

Where: Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus

Preliminary entries are now available. Corrections must be sent to your lead group coach by this Thursday, September 29 at 8pm.

Service hour sign-up is now available. See here for job descriptions. As a reminder, all families must complete 10 service hours between October 2022 and July 2023 in accordance with our service policy.
- Uniform requirements:
- Saturday – Black AGUA shirt
- Sunday – Gray AGUA shirt

Both days – AGUA team cap and AGUA team suit (A solid-colored TYR suit will be permitted if your AGUA team suit has not arrived or your athlete is 15 and older.)
- Swimmer call times:
- Saturday and Sunday 9- to 12-year-olds – 7:30am
- Saturday 13-and-over – 12:30pm
- Sunday 400 IM – 12:30pm
- Sunday 8-and-under – 2pm

Register for Our 2022 College Recruiting Seminar
Join us on Zoom Saturday, October 15 from 12:30pm to 2pm for our 2022 College Recruiting Seminar! The seminar will highlight steps to getting recruited for college as well as tips and tricks from AGUA alumni.
We encourage swimmers and families of athletes in the eighth grade and above to register and attend.

Become A Group Parent This Season!
Group parents help with logistical questions, direct other parents with concerns and questions to a lead group coach, and promote AGUA’s philosophy and expectations. They also help organize group social events throughout the season.
Interested? Submit an application by Tuesday, October 11.

Be sure your athlete has the correct equipment and team suit for upcoming trainings and competitions. All swimmers are required to purchase the new AGUA shirt bundle for $10, available in our online team store. You may purchase multiple bundles.

Now Available: Free Officials Clinics Online | |
Metropolitan Swimming will offer free, online stroke and turn judge clinics Wednesday, September 28 and Monday, October 17, 2022 for those interested in becoming a certified USA Swimming official.
The clinics will begin at 7pm and will run for approximately 90 minutes.
Relevant materials and a Zoom link to join will be e-mailed to all participants in advance of their clinic date. Register here.
