AGUA Wins 2023 Eastern Zone Speedo Sectionals |
|
|
Congratulations to all who participated in the 2023 Eastern Zone Speedo Sectionals! The AGUA Swim Team finished the meet as the overall team champions in the combined team scoring and women's team scoring.
AGUA's performance was highlighted by three new team records! Satya Agashiwala, Ryan Kakimseit, David Sacca, and Eric Slavin's team earned gold and broke the mark in the 15- to 18-year-old and open men's 200 medley relay. Their time also set a new Metropolitan Swimming record — the fastest-ever 15- to 18-year-old 200 medley relay.

In the women's 200 medley relay, Heidi Wu, Carter Roebuck, Abi Greenberg, and Azana Karim broke the AGUA Swim Team record in the 15- to 18-year-old age group. Heidi also earned the silver medal in the 200 backstroke while Abi and Ryan earned the highest total individual points for AGUA. Abi placed among the top finishers in the 200 butterfly, the 500 and 1000 freestyle, and the 400 IM while Ryan did so in the 100 butterfly and the 100 and 200 backstroke. |

Support young swimmers as they enjoy the thrill of a 25-yard race, complete with starting blocks and a timed finish. The event will take place in the AquaCenter at Asphalt Green’s Upper East Side campus.
AGUA swimmers will be assigned to help with timing, heat organization, and cheering on the swimmers. With your help, we can create a safe and rewarding experience for our community.

Asphalt Green ID Cards
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access Asphalt Green's Upper East Side and Battery Park City campuses at each practice. Swimmers will not be permitted to enter the facilities without swiping in with their ID.

We're looking forward to celebrating our athletes at our annual banquet on Saturday, June 3 at House of Joy in New York City's Chinatown! Each year, we ask our athletes to nominate one teammate from their 2022-2023 short course training group for RAD Teammate of the Year. Nominees should embody our team values of respect, accountability, and discipline.
