Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Asphalt Green has made the difficult decision to close both locations and suspend all programs and classes. We look forward to reopening as soon as possible.

Virtual College Swimming Symposium

We will be hosting a virtual college swimming symposium on Saturday, May 2 featuring college coaches from both Division I and Division III programs. Princeton University's Doug Lennox and Franklin & Marshall's Ben Delia will be speaking at both parent sessions and answering questions about the college recruiting process.

Who: AGUA athletes in grades 8 through 11
When: Saturday, May 2
Where: Zoom meetings are linked below. The password for all meetings is AGUA2020

The symposium will run on the following schedule:

Current 8 ^th and 9 ^th grade swimmers:

Students – 9am
Parents – 9:45am

Current 10 ^th and 11 ^th grade swimmers:

Students – 10:45am
Parents – 11:30am

AGUA Swim Team members are expected to use appropriate language and speaking volume at all times. The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited. Use a lock to protect your valuables.

Introducing: AGUA Weekly Focus

AGUA is committed to keeping our team active, engaged, and connected while social distancing. We are excited to add weekly themes to our practice routines for all age groups. This week, our focus is on mental preparedness and flexibility. Our athletes will be utilizing TrueSport's FIGHT acronym:

Focus on what you can control
Identify negative thoughts
Generate alternative thoughts
Highlight adaptive behaviors
Teach others to do the same

We will also be investigating exercises to improve flexibility, an important aspect of swim training that is often overlooked. Stay tuned for an email this week from your lead group coach with more details.

AGUA Memorial Day Swim Meet

AGUA's annual summer swim camps are designed to meet the specific needs of our swimmers. Camp days run from 8am to 4pm and include two swim sessions, dryland training, team building activities, and catered lunch. Swim campers get an AGUA camp t-shirt and swim cap.

Summer swim camp dates are as follows:

AGUA Rising Star Camp

AG1 and AG2 swimmers

June 29 through July 3

AGUA Elite Camp

Long course AG3 swimmers

July 13 through July 17

Upcoming Schedule Changes

All practices are canceled until further notice. Please refer to your lead group coach's dryland workouts to maintain your training.
