Updates to the Team Suit Policy and Handbook

Be sure to review the updates to our 2022-2023 Competition Suit Policy and AGUA Team Handbook. All changes are effective immediately.

As a reminder, families are responsible for all information provided in the team handbook and weekly newsletters.

Please review the 2022-2023 short course meet calendar here. Be sure to note which groups are eligible for each meet.

AGUA Season Starter

LIE Fall Classic

BGNW Distance Meet

Who: AG2 Green and Gold, AG3 Green and Gold, Senior Prep Green and Gold, Senior I

BGNW 8-and-under Meet

Who: AG1 and AG2 Green (8 & unders only)

Action Required: MAAPP Acknowledgement

USA Swimming, AGUA's national governing body, requires every family to read and acknowledge the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP).

MAAPP was designed to prioritize the safety of athletes and addresses one-on-one interactions, social media and electronic communications, local and team travel, locker rooms and changing areas, and athletic training modalities.

Acknowledgment by all families is mandatory. Please do so by Friday, September 30, 2022.

All swimmers must use their ID cards to access Asphalt Green's Battery Park City and Upper East Side campuses at each practice.

Locker Room Reminder

Please remind your athletes that taking photos or videos in the locker rooms is strictly prohibited.

TYR Suit Fittings and Team Store

Ultimate Swim Shop will be visiting Asphalt Green on the dates below to assist athletes with proper suit and gear fittings.

As a reminder, the AGUA team suit is required during in-season competition for all 14-and-under athletes.

Upper East Side campus:

Wednesday, September 14 — 3:30pm to 7pm

Friday, September 16 — 3:30pm to 7pm

Battery Park City campus:

Thursday, September 15 — 3:30pm to 5:30pm

Get Involved: Become an Official

AGUA needs stroke and turn judges. Being an official is a great way to get involved in your swimmer's life and the sport! You'll learn the rules of competitive swimming and gain a greater understanding of how meets work.

Join us on Zoom for our 2022-2023 AGUA Family Welcome meetings! All families are strongly encouraged to attend. Registration info will be provided in next week's newsletter. Stay tuned!
