Return to AGUA Update
At this point in time, we are still waiting for guidelines about pool openings and procedures from our local government. While we await further guidance, we ask that all swimmers and families familiarize themselves with the following document:


We understand that questions will develop regarding our Return to Pool Plan. Please keep in mind that this is our overall plan as we begin with our senior groups. More information, including details for Battery Park City, will be made available in the coming weeks. 

We kindly ask that you reserve your questions for our upcoming mandatory Zoom meetings. These meetings will be held in the coming weeks to review the procedures outlined in this document. Attendance is required in order for athletes to return to Asphalt Green and AGUA practice.

AGUA Elite Swim Camps
Please note that there will be no AGUA Elite Swim Camp offered before July 20, 2020. However, we are excited to offer the following extended schedule:

CAMP DATES
  • Session 1: July 20–24*
  • Session 2: July 27–31
  • Session 3: August 3–7
  • Session 4: August 10–14
  • Session 5: August 17–21
  • Session 6: August 24–28
*If we are still awaiting pool-opening guidelines from the local government, cancelation notice for session one will be made by this Wednesday, July 15 . Registered campers should have received an email from Coach John with details. Email questions to [email protected] .

Verify Your Phone Number for AGUA Text Alerts
As we move forward with plans to reopen, we want to ensure quick and efficient communication with team members and their families. In order to do so, we will be utilizing the AGUA Swim Team website's text message alert feature.

Please verify your phone number for AGUA text alerts:

  1. Log in to aguaswim.com.
  2. Choose "My Account" on the left toolbar.
  3. On the "Account" page, add up to two parent or guardian mobile phone numbers to the SMS box, and select your carrier. Click "Save."
  4. For each "Member," add your preferred mobile phone number (parent, guardian, or athlete) to the SMS box, and select your carrier. Click "Save."
  5. You will receive a verification text message from [email protected]. Click the link to verify.
  6. You are now eligible to receive SMS text updates from AGUA.

The text message alert system was developed by USA Swimming to adhere to all SafeSport policies. Please do not respond to AGUA text alerts. Replies are not delivered to coaching staff. If you have any questions regarding an AGUA text alert, email your lead group coach.

Three AGUA Teammates Lead Young Minds Matter New York
AGUA Swimmers Justice Carrenard, Adam Imam, and Ari Rosenstein have recently helped develop Young Minds Matter New York. Through partnerships with private organizations and public officials, the movement bands high school and college students together to address education inequity affecting Black students in New York City and state.

Please take a moment to complete their survey to help determine which issues are most important to the stakeholders of our education system. Collected data will be used to better shape policy solutions.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Asphalt Green has made the difficult decision to close both locations and suspend all programs and classes. We look forward to reopening as soon as possible.
