Great Work at CPAC May Invitational |
Congratulations to our sectionals qualifiers on a fantastic weekend of racing in Connecticut! AGUA athletes competed in a four-day prelims/finals meet and excelled in our return to standard competition. Our swimmers found success in the pool and beyond being recognized by officials as the team that best followed the meet's COVID-19 protocols.
Sebastien Vernhes, Penn Lee, Dylan Zhang, and Tristan Pragnell led the way in the pool by establishing a new AGUA team record in the boys 400 free relay. Their time of 3:05.42 broke the previous mark set in 2019 and earned them the silver medal. The group also won silver in the 200 free relay and bronze in the 400 medley relay. Vernhes, Lee, and Pragnell also teamed up with Alex MacLennan for bronze in the 200 medley relay.
The AGUA girls continued our relay success with bronze medals in the 200 medley relay (Madison Wu, Stella Chukwulozie, Penelope Leonard, and Sonia Seliger), 200 free relay (Alia Basler, Wu, Morgan Main, and Seliger) and 400 free relay (Wu, Seliger, Carter Roebuck, and Main).

Congratulations, Dylan Rhee! |
Congratulations to Dylan Rhee on earning a second U.S. Olympic Trials cut in the 100-meter breaststroke this weekend at the Eastern Zone Super Sectionals.
Dylan's time of 1:03.03 also established a new AGUA Team record in the Open Boys' event. Dylan will be one of five AGUA swimmers competing at next month's Olympic Trials. Stay tuned for more details!
