Winter Meet Updates
AGUA Dominates Jim Wood Memorial Invitational
AGUA athletes traveled to Rutgers University this weekend to compete in the 2020 Jim Wood Memorial Invitational. Throughout the meet, our swimmers posted numerous best times among top finishes and new championship cuts.

Isabel Gormley led the way by earning two new United States Olympic Trials qualifying standards with her wins in the 800 freestyle and 200 IM, in addition to taking first place in the 400 freestyle and 400 IM. Isabel now holds four cuts for the coveted meet in June. Emma Feld earned her first United States Junior National cut in the 200 backstroke, taking second place in the event.

For the AGUA men, Ryan Mitchener punched his ticket to Toronto for the Canadian Swimming Olympic Trials in the 200 IM. Dylan Rhee dipped under the Olympic Trials mark in the 200 breaststroke for the sixth time en route to winning the event. He also won the 100 breaststroke.

Dylan teamed up with Eugenio Massari, Tristan Pragnell, and Adell Sabovic to shatter the 400 medley relay meet record. Tristan added his second United States Junior National cut with his lead-off in the 100 backstroke split.

Sign Up to Be an AGUA Official
One of the most critical parts of running a high-quality swim meet is having a team of certified and experienced officials. AGUA is fortunate enough to have such a great team of officials made up of AGUA parents – past and present.

Please help us maintain the tradition of staffing our meets with AGUA officials by getting certified. This is a terrific way to contribute to the team while also learning more about swimming.

If you are interested in hearing more about the certification process, please click here or contact AGUA meet referees Rachel Skaistis or Sharon Greenberg. It is an incredibly rewarding position that makes meets fly by!
