AGUA Wins Gold at 8 & Under Finale
Great work to our 8 & under swimmers who raced this weekend! AGUA made a statement in Connecticut, collecting seven individual gold medals and two relay golds.

Mayrah Johnson and Maya Mulholland led the way for our girls team. Mayrah earned gold in the 7-year-old 25 butterfly, 25 backstroke, and 25 breaststroke, while Maya earned first place in the 6-year-old 25 butterfly and 25 backstroke.

The girls competition was highlighted by AGUA swimmers sweeping the relay events and earning a one-two finish in the 100 medley race. Mayrah, Greta Messinger-Nanni, Jasmine Penday, and Natalia Ortiz-Borjas claimed the medley relay title while Mayrah, Jasmine, and Natalia teamed up with Drew McInerney for the 100 freestyle relay win. Drew joined forces with Jojo Plevin, Annelie Fedoronko, and Ashlynn Milam for silver in the medley relay.

Sign Up to Be an AGUA Official
One of the most critical parts of running a high-quality swim meet is having a team of certified and experienced officials. AGUA is fortunate enough to have such a great team of officials made up of AGUA parents – past and present.

Please help us maintain the tradition of staffing our meets with AGUA officials by getting certified. This is a terrific way to contribute to the team while also learning more about swimming.

If you are interested in hearing more about the certification process, please click here or contact AGUA meet referees Rachel Skaistis or Sharon Greenberg. It is an incredibly rewarding position that makes meets fly by!
