AHA Ad Hoc Report Available
The report to the Arabian Horse Association Board of Directors from the USEF ad hoc Study Committee on whether to leave or remain a USEF Affiliate is now on the AHA website. Following is the link:
A special ad hoc committee was named by the Arabian Horse Association President shortly after AHA’s November convention created a resolution to study ending the affiliation with USEF.
This committee once formed met via conference calls virtually every two (2) weeks to study the requirements for that change, their report was presented to the AHA board on August 2, 2019. The board of Directors of the Arabian Horse Association voted to not end their affiliation with USEF at this time but to continue to evaluate the relationship. A consideration was the ongoing affiliate meetings that have been held in conjunction with USEF.

Children and Arabian Horses with Nedra Johnson
According to Horse Illustrated, Arabian horses are one of the best breeds for children. One AHA member who knows this to be true is Nedra Johnson.
“I first discovered Arabian horses reading The Black Stallion, and then seeing them in person,” Nedra recalls.
Time to Ride
"Time To Ride®, a program of the American Horse Council’s Marketing Alliance, has accepted 62 lesson facilities for its 2019 pilot program.
The new Time To Ride program is designed to introduce school-age children to horseback riding and horse care in a safe, welcoming environment. The goal is to familiarize school-age children with horses through an initial series of six to eight lessons that include basic horse care as well as riding. The lesson series are offered through schools, local youth organizations and recreational leagues."
