Next month we are planning on announcing our next set of training series on job costing with an overview of the software related tools to help small business. K2 Consulting will be supporting this endeavor. Be on the look out in the next few weeks.

In February, AHCC will be hosting its second annual Advisory Board Meeting. Our industry supporters will be in attendance to receive a year in review and to help guide AHCC to better serve its members in 2019. AHCC will highlight the outcome of our meeting next month.
AHCC secured a new member this month, Allstate Floors (www.allstatefloors.com), owned by Jose Ortiz Guad. Allstate is located at 8220 Patuxent Range Rd., Jessup, MD 20794 Phone (240) 360-2379. “Allstate Floors has established itself as a leader in the commercial flooring industry in the mid-Atlantic regions—specializing in carpet, wood, ceramic tile, and resilient products.” Allstate started in business in 1996. Their target markets are schools and universities, hotels, federal and state government, and medical care facilities.

Welcome Allstate Floors!
Allstate Floors brought to AHCC attention that five subcontractors known to them have not been paid for work performed and approved by the prime contractor on the Maryland LIVE! Casino Hotel. AHCC participated in conference calls and can confirm that all five subcontractors are seeking payment of nearly $11 million in total.  Click to see the press release.  If any other subcontractors have similar experiences, please contact AHCC.
Jose Ortiz Guad launched Puerto Rico One ( https://www.facebook.com/PuertorRicoOne/ ) – a non-profit to help mobilize and transform Puerto Rico. On January 17, at their Transformation Summit, A Pre-event for Student Leaders , Adrian Fenty, former Mayor of Washington, DC, Kimberly King, Founder of One Island Institute, and Jennifer Hopp, Founder of ATO Ventures spoke to students about the support readiness that is available at a collaborative level to bring STEAM alive in PR.

To learn more about the passion and drive of this non-profit, register for their next event on Febrary 15 th – Transformation Summit – Ideal Competition. It’s free to attend. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/transformation-summit-ideation-competition-ponce-tickets-55138226921
