AHCCCS has requested that we send this important message to our provider network. There have been several communications recently sent by AHCCCS regarding the upcoming AHCCCS Provider Enrollment Portal (APEP) Project.
Over the course of the last few days, AHCCCS heard concerns from a number of providers and stakeholders regarding the implementation of the APEP Project. AHCCCS would like to take this opportunity to assure stakeholders that we will not jeopardize member access to care over the course of the transition to the new automated provider registration system and will make every effort to abbreviate the period of time during which providers will not be able to submit a request for a new enrollment, reinstatement or update.
As such, AHCCCS has decided to reevaluate the timeline for implementation of the APEP Project and will provide additional insight into any revisions to the current timeline within the coming week.
Mercy Care will continue to keep you updated as we receive further information from AHCCCS on the implementation of the APEP Program.
