2024 Leadership Conference

In February, Atlantic Housing hosted our annual Leadership Conference for property managers, lead service technicians, and corporate office employees. This year's event took place at a hotel in Savannah, Georgia. It was a time for renewed inspiration, collaboration, celebration, and learning for community managers and lead service technicians from 45 properties across the southern U.S. This year's theme, "Flawless Execution, Exceptional Customer Service" encompasses the aim of our organization as we seek to raise our resident services to new heights and consistently perform daily apartment operations with accuracy and intention.

CEO Michael Nguyen kicked off the conference by launching Atlantic Housing's new motto "At Your Service." We look forward to sharing more about how this service mindset impacts the way we carry out our mission. Other conference presentations included best practices for recruiting, compliance, and financials, plans for continued growth in property acquisitions and development, and how management teams can serve residents well by connecting them with resources and opportunities for personal growth and advancement.

The event also included a night of celebration as awards were given for management team achievements from the past year.

Atlantic Housing invited Chick-Fil-A's Director of Core Experience, Laurel Kimbrough, to speak on their company's guiding principles for great customer service. Her reminder that "everyone has a story if you take the time to read it" was one of the most touching and memorable takeaways from the week.

The conference ended with a leadership roundtable that enabled team members to ask questions and bring up concerns. We welcome this kind of open dialogue because we know that "because we've always done it this way" is not a winning mindset. Atlantic Housing is fortunate to have incredible people on staff who care about the mission to provide affordable housing and are actively working to transform the communities where they work and live. We look forward to working together to make 2024 Atlantic Housing's best year yet!

Love is in the Air

During this Valentine's season, Atlantic Housing Management teams found creative ways to show love to their residents and community. At Spring Grove Apartments, residents joined Community Engagement Associate Tammy Taylor-Jones in a plan to make Valentine's day cards and treats to deliver to residents of the nearby senior living facility. Spring Grove management also provided gifts to the residents on Valentine's day as they entered the office.

Arrowood management celebrated residents with a February birthday by leaving them a door hanger with a small bag of candy on their special day.

The Westfield student housing team was able to partner with Austin Apartment Association and American Red Cross for a blood drive. They volunteered to sign people in and help them register to donate blood, and they also became donors themselves.
