The Atlantic Housing Foundation (AHF) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the 2024 AHF Scholarship Award Recipients! This year 95 students were selected to receive either academic or housing awards in addition to the four nominees for the Dan French, Sharon Whaley, Sharon Murphy and Bart Marantz scholarships. Total awards are valued at $1.5 million. Congratulations to the recipients!

Since 2006, Atlantic Housing Foundation has awarded more than $19 million dollars in academic and housing scholarships to over 1,100 students across the country. Any part-time or full-time college student is welcome to apply, including students enrolled in technical, community college, or graduate degree programs. On June 10, Atlantic Housing Foundation's Temple Court Apartments experienced a devastating fire that displaced over 60 senior residents and destroyed their belongings. We are happy to report that these residents are now getting re-established in their beautiful new homes at The Residences at Sawyer's Walk in Miami. This newly built senior community owned by Swerdlow Group is just five blocks from where Temple Court stood.

A team from AHF was pleased to help with the transition on moving day, including CEO Michael Nguyen. "The residents of Temple Court wanted to stay together, wanted to stay close to the neighborhood that they’ve known for forever...I think they're going to be so happy here - it's just such a beautiful facility," Mr. Nguyen said in an interview with NBC.

AHF and Sawyer's Walk pitched in together to provide furniture for these residents, who had lost everything in the fire. They were also given a starter kit of basic supplies and a gift card to purchase other necessities, which was paid for with Atlantic Housing's $100,000 donation and $17,000 in generous GoFundMe donations from others who had been touched by this tragedy. Thank you to all who contributed toward this cause!
