Update On The 2019 HOME & Housing Credit Competitive Application Cycle
Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) accepted applications for 2019 HOME and Housing Credits on February 13, 2019. Forty-one applications with sites located in 28 different counties were submitted:

  • 19 HOME combined with Housing Credits
  • 22 Housing Credits only
  • 3 Community Housing Development Organizations
  • 8 prior-funded AHFA HOME projects
  • 25 for families
  • 16 for the elderly
  • 30 new construction
  • 11 acquisition/rehabilitation 

On May 30, 2019, AHFA’s Board of Directors approved 19 projects in 18 counties for allocations:

  • 8 HOME combined with Housing Credits 
  • 11 Housing Credits only
  • 12 new construction
  • 7 acquisition/rehabilitation
  • 1,119 Housing Units

Reservation Packages are expected to be mailed in August.
