Alumnae Reunion Weekend

I am thrilled to reveal our Alumnae Reunion Weekend Events in this issue. All alumnae are welcome and will be celebrated, from your first to your seventy-first anniversary, there is something for everyone.

On Friday, October 3, there will be a series of networking and gathering events scheduled in our library with tours of our school, ending with a social hour and performance in our Arts Center.

Choose from a number of morning activities scheduled for Saturday, October 4 before you join us for our Rally around the Bell Tower. This is a perfect time to take that AHN gear out of the box you've held onto and gather with your classmates as we show our alumnae pride for the school we hold so dear!

Our Alumnae Ceremony in the Riley Auditorium will reflect on so much of our shared history, from classmates and faculty who recently passed, celebrating the various milestone classes present, recognizing our legacy families and faculty, inducting our twenty fifth and fiftieth year classes into the Circle of Silver and Gold, and celebrating our platinum jubilee seventieth year class reunion members.

Our Mother Marie Rose Reception is generously sponsored by 2Shea Catering and

Albany Distilling Company, Inc. and there will be several awards given to alumnae that day!

More to come on this in our next issue.

On Sunday, October 5, bring your whole family to our Fall Family Fun Day. I am certain you will find it reminiscent of our Fall Family Festivals and Boutique Noëls we fondly remember! Thank you DJ Ritz, for sponsoring our entertainment for the day.

Take a look at the link below, gather your classmates and register for more than one of the events planned for you. Alumnae- or family-owned businesses can also use the same link to register to be a part of our weekend.

It's a celebration of our more than one hundred forty years together and we are still the number one reason why our students enjoy being a part of this special AHN family! We are their parents and legacy members, benefactors, partners in education, patrons of the arts, sciences and sports, mentors, coaches, and teachers. Let's celebrate together. You are the reason why we are still Academy of the Holy Names in Albany, New York!

God bless,

Katie Ann McDermott '98

If you reside and/or are employed in these or other various regions of the United States, we invite you to consider the wonderful opportunity of sponsoring a brunch, social hour, or gathering for fellow alumnae in your community during the 2025-26 school year.

This is a fantastic chance to connect, network, and foster relationships that can lead to lasting friendships and professional collaborations. Should you feel inspired to take part in this initiative or have any inquiries, please email me.

Your involvement will make a significant impact on your local alumnae community!

Join us for our annual Alumnae Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, May 20 at 9:00 a.m. in The Riley Auditorium.

We have 47 alumnae who have agreed to be alumnae sponsors for our seniors. We remember this special ceremony marking the end of our journey as a student and beginning our lifetime membership to our AHN community.

Our alumnae community is comprised of roughly 5,000 alumnae, many of whom remain active in our community.

Why We Give: Share Your Memories

Throughout the remainder of our school year, our alumnae newsletter will feature stories from our alumnae, Partners in Education, legacy family members, scholarship benefactors, and community members. Everyone has a story of why they love AHN and how they continue to donate their time, talents, and treasure to our school.

Please email me if you would like to be featured in one of our upcoming issues and on social media!

Milestone Celebrations & AHN Pictures

Have you recently celebrated a personal or professional milestone? This could include a new home, addition to your family, you just graduated or beginning your graduate studies, received a job promotion or recognition in your community, recently retired or about to travel.

Do you have your favorite pictures from your time at AHN that are a blast from the past?

Please email me and you may be featured in a future social media post and in our upcoming EQV magazine.
