We Will Always be ALLIN for AHN!

We are underway with ALLIN festivities in our community and I am so grateful for the support we've received from many of our alumnae. Please remember to be a part of this special day Wednesday. Your generous contribution will continue to support our mission, tradition, and core values that we cherish and ensures generations of young girls will also enjoy. Our alumnae community fortifies why we give and are all in this together to maintain the vitality of AHN!

God bless,

Katie Ann McDermott '98

Molly Pentak

Middle and High School PE Teacher, PE Department Chair

Mrs. Pentak will Always be ALLINinforAHN

I am often asked “how have you managed to stay at the same school, teaching Physical Education for 40 plus years and still love going to school every day?” I reply, “That’s easy, I love what I do. I love working with amazing people and teaching amazing students. And yes, there are good days and bad days, but the good days outweigh the bad days, and no two days are ever the same!”

Academy of the Holy Names is a special place that felt like home the minute I had my interview

with Sr. Connie Casey in 1984. I knew that I was destined to work and grow here. Over the last

few decades, I have had the privilege of guiding generations of students, watching them grow

stronger, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. The relationships that I have built,

the lessons that I’ve shared (and learned) have given me a sense of accomplishment. In a

world that constantly changes, the core values of Holy Names and our motto “Esse Quam

Videri” (To be rather than to seem) remain timeless-and I am grateful to continue passing them

along. I truly love what I do and will always be ALL in for AHN.

Chicago is ALLIN for AHN!

I had the pleasure of catching up with

Lisa Agostino Phalen '97, Alexis Musto '01, and Marisa Paonessa '95 at our AHN on the Move event gathering in Chicago, hosted by Kristin Linsley '99 (left)!

Click on the video image to watch Marisa and I discuss the success of her talent agency and how AHN theater arts is where it all began.

AHN on the Move: D.C.

Betsy Bennett '09 is hosting our upcoming AHN on the Move in the D.C. area on March 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. We already have a number of alumnae joining us! If you live, work, or will be in the area, please join us and register below.

Volunteer Opportunity Updates

We are in need of four alumnae to volunteer for our AHN Girls on the Run program.

This program runs from March 31 to June 7 and meets twice a week after school from

3:30 - 5:00 pm. We need at least two coaches present for each session. If we have four volunteers, they can easily rotate. Please email me if you are interested.

Why We Give: Share Your Memories

Throughout the remainder of our school year, our alumnae newsletter will feature stories from our alumnae, Partners in Education, legacy family members, scholarship benefactors, and community members. Everyone has a story of why they love AHN and how they continue to donate their time, talents, and treasure to our school.

Please email me if you would like to be featured in one of our upcoming issues and on social media!
