| | | Committed to the Legacy of AHN | | Teresa Carlton '98 with daughters Elizabeth '28 and Lily '30 | | |
Teresa Carlton '98 is thrilled the new school year is upon us! After a busy summer of family travel to Cape May, a first summer job for her oldest, and sleepaway camp for her youngest, her family is eager to get back into a routine. Teresa is excited to be starting her 17th year teaching middle school English at a local district and continuing her work as the newly appointed AHN Archivist Coordinator.
Her daughters, Elizabeth '28 and Lily '30, are looking forward to the excitement 8th and 10th grades bring, including Sophomore Day, school dances, and the 8th grade class trip. Their family is eagerly anticipating Alumnae Reunion Weekend and are especially looking forward to joining other legacy families at the Legacy Family Gathering on that Friday morning in order to celebrate the beautiful impact AHN continues to have on their family, friendships, and faith.

"I live in Albany, am married to my high school sweetheart and am the Instructional Technology Specialist for the Guilderland Central School District. I volunteer for the Archives because the Academy of the Holy Names is such an important part of my history, and I want to ensure its legacy is preserved. It's also incredibly fun to look at all the old pictures and memorabilia. I love connecting with other AHN alumnae and giving back to the school that gave so much to me and now to my daughter."

| | First Installment of Archives Display! | | Join the History of AHN: Meet with our Archives Volunteers session on Friday, October 3 from 12-12:30 PM in the Library. Register today at ahns.org. | | A new initiative of the AHN Archives Team is to showcase the artifacts so beautifully curated by former archivist Mary Ellen Conboy '61. The first display box, designed by Teresa Carlton '98 and Kailin Curtin '99, welcomed students back to school and showcases the history of Welcome Day and Senior Day. These rites of passage are part of a long tradition at AHN and we hope showcasing their history makes our students feel a deeper connection to the AHN sisterhood. | | Ruth Eliza Dyer '73 and the "Magical Musician" | |

We were so thankful for Ruth, who stopped by this week to share her published book of poems "Words that Choose Us." She signed a copy so it could be added to our Library collection.

Alexandra Daily '18 was featured on Spectrum News in Clearwater, Fl, where students at Nova Southeastern University's Tampa Bay Regional Campus are learning what it takes to become osteopathic doctors.
According to Alexandra's parents, "AHN set a strong foundation for her medical journey - but more than that it cemented her desire to serve her community and strengthened her faith. AHN readies these young ladies to be leaders in their communities with confidence and poise."
