...we must move on and continue this important work of improving communications with our residents and stakeholders. This change in staffing and the Hartford News has led our Board of Directors to conclude that AHNA should revamp our communication methods and try new approaches to reach more residents. Addressing the growing mental health needs of Connecticut's children was a top priority for me this legislative session. The COVID-19 pandemic heightened concerns for parents, healthcare professionals and teachers who have all experienced frustration at the system’s failure to adequately meet the increasing mental health challenges facing our children. 


Thousands are expected to enjoy free music, dance and family fun in Asylum Hill when Hartford’s first-ever Open Street event premiers this month. Patterned after other cities that close off their streets to cars for a day, DominGO! Hartford will take place on Farmington Avenue from 9am to 3pm on Sunday, June 26.
