The International Superyacht Society (ISS) successfully hosted its latest Leadership Series seminar in Monaco, uniting key industry professionals for an in-depth discussion on risk management. Held on September 23, 2026 at the Yacht Club de Monaco, AI in Action: Practical Tools for the Yachting Industry looked at how artificial intelligence is changing daily work across the industry, and how to use it well while protecting the sensitive information that owners, guests and clients trust us with.

Moderated by Kevin Frisch of Foster Garvey, the program was held in two sessions.

Session One speakers:

  • Andrea Tagliaferro, The Twenty Five
  • Cassandra Bruno, IYC
  • Christian Paolini, Rolls-Royce
  • Rebecca Taranto, Superyacht Creative
  • Jake Lazarus, Fenton Innovation
  • Rumble Romagnoli, Relevance Yacht

Session Two speakers:

  • Christelle Niamke, Ubora Due Diligence
  • Craig Fenton, Fenton Innovation
  • Tim Woollard, Hill Dickinson
  • Special appearance by Kristina Agustin, Southern Sky AI & the Kraken

A key takeaway from the discussion was the importance of embracing and exploring AI while understanding the security and privacy considerations that come with using consumer AI applications. A big theme of the AI panel was to embrace and explore AI, but to do so carefully as consumer applications are open systems, not fully equipped for enterprise use.

Building on this conversation, Fi AI has offered ISS members an opportunity to trial its latest generation of self-building “Padawan” AI at no cost. Padawan operates in a secure, private and encrypted container they will create specifically for your organisation. You can use it just like you would a consumer app, but securely. Because Padawan is enabled with the latest neural learning system, it is a self-building application. It gets to know you and builds itself around you. It can also be seeded by uploading any "memories" your consumer application already has of you.

ISS members interested in taking advantage of this offer should contact info@superyachtsociety.org to request the promotional code before the end of September. You'll then have the month of October to use it with as many users as you like within your organisation at no cost or obligation.

To help attendees put the discussion into practice, the ISS education committee has created two practical guides:

  • Using AI Responsibly: Do's and Don'ts sets out clear do's and don'ts for using AI with the material our industry handles every day, from identity documents and source-of-funds records to guest profiles, crew contracts and charter agreements.

  • AI Security, In Depth is a companion deep dive for both the occasional chatbot user and the professional already building with these tools every day.

ISS has a selection of worldwide events throughout the year. Through committees, events, educational opportunities and business-to-business collaboration, ISS works collectively to both strengthen and grow the business interests of society members, while serving as a unified voice for issues affecting the yachting marketplace.
