As architects push the boundaries of design, the need for a material that offers the greatest amount of flexibility is required. From the vast number of aesthetic options, superior durability, cost efficiencies, and ease of installation in all weather conditions, single-component metal panel systems offer such flexibility.
At the end of this program participants will be able to:
- Identify the various performance goals and market sectors for architectural single-compnent metal (SCM) panels
- Recall the components and construction of a SCM panel wall
- Describe each finish options maintenance requirements, performance and durability
- List the custom fabrication and accessory options available in the manufacturing process of SCM panels
- Design an energy and resource efficient wall section using an insulated metal panel (IMP) back-up wall and SCM panels

- Determine Daylighting System selection criteria
- Evaluate Glass vs Acrylic in skylight applications
- Learn special considerations in the selection of glazing systems
- Identify Innovative Daylighting Strategies
