AIA DAYTON AWARDS $4,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS

The Dayton Chapter of the American Institute of Architects is pleased to announce its 2024 Architecture Scholarship recipients. AIA Dayton awarded a total of $4,000 in scholarships to three outstanding high school seniors from the Dayton/Miami Valley Region and one area student currently enrolled at the University of Cincinnati.

  • Emma Williams - Emma is a graduate of Graham High School in 2023

and is a second-year student attending the University of Cincinnati. This is

the second year that Emma has been awarded a scholarship from AIA

Dayton.

  • Caroline Hamblin – Caroline is a graduate of Oakwood High School,

and is a first-year student at the University of Tennessee at

Knoxville.

first-year student at the University of Cincinnati.

  • Evelyn Boller - Evelyn is a graduate of Centerville High School and is a

first-year student at the University of Cincinnati.

The AIA Dayton Architecture Scholarship Fund of The Dayton Foundation was established in 1997 to encourage and assist students graduating or graduated from high schools in the Dayton/Miami Valley Region to pursue a degree in architecture at a college or university with an NAAB accredited architecture program.

Scholarship recipients were selected on the basis of their academic achievements, artistic talent, and an essay about their educational and career goals as they relate to the field of Architecture. The scholarships are funded through the generous donations of AIA Dayton Members, contributions from AIA Dayton, and through a matching funds grant from the American Institute of Architects. The fund is advised by AIA Dayton, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Since 2007, the scholarship fund has awarded 59 scholarships totaling $74,600.
