Overview

Critical path method is an algorithm used to simplify complex scheduling of project activities and determine longest duration to complete the tasks that cannot be delayed without affecting the over project duration. Critical path scheduling facilitates improved project control by comparing actual progress to planned progress, facilitates effective management of resources, and improves productivity. Strategic Plan for 2025 – 2028

The AIA Dayton Board of Directors met January 14, 2025 to review and update the chapter's Strategic Plan. In doing so, the Board also reviewed the current strategic plans for AIA National and AIA Ohio. While the National and Ohio's plans focus on the big picture societal issues that relate to our profession, it was agreed that AIA Dayton's focus should continue to be on serving our membership and local communities.

Three main goals were identified:

• Engage our Membership

• Connect with our Profession and the Community

• Impact the Community

Strategies were developed for each of our three goals and will serve as our body of work going forward.

Join your peers at AIA Ohio's Signature Advocacy Event

AIA Ohio Advocacy Day is taking place on Wednesday, April 30, in Columbus. Attendees will hear a panel discussion of legislators talking about housing, learn from AIA's Senior Director of State and Local Affairs, Amal Mahrouki, and gain insight from WVXU's Senior Political Analyst, Howard Wilkinson. In the afternoon, attendees will participate in meaningful meetings with legislators discussing issues that are vitally important to the profession. Together in small groups, members will meet with key legislators in both the House and Senate to outline AIA Ohio’s position on several issues that have been identified as key to the advancement of the profession. A debriefing reception has been found to be incredibly helpful for AIA Ohio follow up and action items.

AIA Ohio Advocacy Day is free to attend - but we need to know you are coming so that we can schedule meetings that will be meaningful for you. Click here to register. Nervous to do it alone?
