New technologies are constantly being developed that have the potential to greatly impact AEC services and performance. Join us for a discussion regarding new technology -- 3D scanning, drone surveying, and Virtual Reality -- and how these technologies can help architects, engineers, and contractors during both the design and construction phases of built spaces.

We will discuss what these technologies are, how they are being used, and how they can positively impact safety issues, health considerations, and efficiency in design and construction. The presenters will discuss the limitations as well as the opportunities of these technologies.

2023's best skyscraper built from the remains of a 1970s office tower

"The global construction industry confronts an emerging dilemma: should we build new structures, or should we renew existing ones to accommodate the anticipated growth in urban density?" said CTBUH CEO, Javier Quintana de Uña. "The pursued remedies can impact not only individual structures but also entire cities and the built environment in general and must take into account environmental, economic and social sustainability.
