Join us for an open-air experience at Young’s Dairy in Yellow Springs that is fun, festive, and filled with farm animals! AIA Dayton will hold its third annual Mini-Golf Family Fun Outing on Thursday, September 29 from 5 - 9 PM. Gather up the family and head to Yellow Springs for dinner and fun! 

 

There will be Udders & Putters Miniature Golf, a Corny Maze (just to drive you crazy), a Fast Slide, dinner at the picnic grove, and – of course – ICE CREAM!

Prime AE Group, Inc. will be providing a presentation this month on essential elements of a building envelope. During the presentation they will be explaining the primary functions of the building envelope and how to mitigate water and air infiltration while providing a thermal barrier that reduces energy consumption. They will also address practical principles such as providing light and air while increasing the occupant comfort and enjoyment of the space.

Two Members Selected for Dayton Area Chamber's New Leadership Dayton Class of 2023


Congratulations to Bryan Greene, AIA, Champlin Architecture, and Jordan Reed, AIA, Levin-Porter Architects, who were named to the Leadership Dayton Class of 2023. Class members of Leadership Dayton are chosen from a cross-section of the community and represent the diversity of the region’s business and nonprofit leaders. The program focuses on leadership, education, economic development, diversity, justice, the arts, government, health, and human services.


Leadership Dayton is one of the oldest community leadership programs in the country, formed in 1976. With nearly 2,000 alumni, the mission of the program is to identify, educate, and motivate a network of community leaders, to increase the individual’s capacity to serve the Dayton region, and to advocate continual engagement in support of the Dayton region.

Congratulations to winners of AIA Dayton Scholarships!



The AIA Dayton Scholarship Committee awarded three scholarships to the following students for 2022-2023:


Donovan Davis – Donovan is a graduate of Bethel Baptist School, West Carrollton, and is a first-year student at the University of Cincinnati. 

Nolan LoBianco - Nolan is a graduate of Northmont High School and is a first-year student attending the University of Cincinnati. 

Rylen Perkins – Rylen is a graduate of Northmont High School/Miami Valley Career Technology Center, and is in his fourth year at Bowling Green State University.


The three were awarded a total of $$4,600 in scholarship monies through the AIA Dayton Architectural Scholarship Foundation. The awards were made possible through a matching grant from AIA National.


Since 2007, the scholarship fund has awarded 52 scholarships totaling $65,700. Thanks to the many AIA Dayton members who have contributed either individually or through their firm to the scholarship fund!
