What's Happening: East Kentucky and Beyond
A DIFFERENT KIND OF SPRING...

Spring certainly feels different this year. In the last couple of weeks, we have all heard the phrase "uncharted territory" more than we would like to admint. Like all of you, AIA EKC is making adjustments to follow CDC guidelines, including cancelling all upcoming May in-person events and conducting our executive board meeting virtually via teleconference. We truly appreciate your flexibility as we navigate this  together.

Earlier this week, leadership from AIA KY, EKC and CKC held a teleconference to discuss how to best distill all updates related to COVID-19 from AIA National and AIA KY. In an effort to not inundate you further with numerous emails, our collective information and resources will be sent out from our AIA KY Executive Director,
Kelly Ives, AIA. Please carefully review the upcoming AIA KY Newsletter and future email correspondence as new resources and information becomes available.

From our EKC family to yours, I sincerely hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I know this new virtual working format comes with various issues, but this will ultimately make our profession stronger as architects continue to lead in providing the highest level of service to our communities. May you have respite from the uncertainty around us and take time to embrace the beauty this Spring weather still provides.

Warmest regards,
