Summers in Conversation – UC Berkeley Architecture Spring Lecture Series Artist Olalekan Jeyifous and UC Berkeley assistant professor of Geography, Dr. Brandi T. Summers, discuss the power of collaboration & the potential for speculative architecture as a means to develop comprehensive constructions of urban Utopias/Dystopias that engage with a variety of social, political, and environmental realities.

March 24 | 6 pm - 7 pm Design for Water(proofing) (1 LU) – Presented by YAF & EP The program will be an overview of waterproofing control systems including but not limited to below grade, wall weather resistive barriers, and roofing. Followed by questions and answers by our members.

March 24 | 7 pm - 7:30 pm A Day in the Life of… + Ask Me Anything with Lauren Jordan What's it like being an Architect? These sessions allow students to get a glimpse into what the daily life of an Architect on the job looks like. Featured architect is Lauren Jordan, Project Architect at HOK

March 29 | 1 pm - 2 pm Exhibition Opening + Gallery Talk: Deanna Van Buren | Designing Justice + Designing Spaces – UC Berkeley Architecture Spring Lecture Series The exhibit in the Virtual Bauer Wurster First Floor Lobby will present full-scale models of several mobile responses that Designing Justice + Designing Spaces has created and deployed as part of their work to address the root causes of mass incarceration.

March 29 | 6 pm - 7 pm Design for Integration – Presented by YAF & EP The Young Architects and Professional Committee presents an open round table discussion about Design Integration with award winning Architect Mark Cavagnero, FAIA.

April 1 | 6 pm - 7:30 pm New Chapter Location Brainstorming & RUD Reading Club RUD will lead a brainstorming session on where and what the new chapter location might be. After, we'll begin an intermittent series entitled "RUD Reading Club." We'll read "Why Does Athens Look So Quirky?" by Alex Sakalis, about the informal and dispersed networks of urban construction in post-war Greece.
