It was another successful Mid Summer Conference!

Thank you everyone for attending and thank you to all of our sponsors. We couldn't do it without your support!

If you weren't able to attend this year we hope you can join us next year. Mark your calendars for next year's conference August 2-4, 2018 and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Mid Summer Conference!

Government Affairs Update

Dear AIA Michigan Members,

An important bill to reinstate the Michigan Historic Preservation Tax Credit has been introduced in the Michigan legislature. The tax credit, which was phased out in 2011 as part of the governor's plan to eliminate tax carve-out programs, had helped many projects go forward, generating 1.46 billion dollars in investment in our state. The Michigan Historic Preservation Tax Credit was beneficial to our state's historic building rehabilitation projects and also for employment in Michigan.

For more information, look at the Michigan Historic Preservation Network's action alert at https://t.e2ma.net/message/pr89w/p3xt6c or go to the Michigan Historic Preservation Network's website at http://www.mhpn.org/ .

Please take action by contacting your legislator. The MHPN's website has information on finding your legislators' contact information.

Our collective voice as members of AIA Michigan can make a difference!
