Executive Director Update

It's not too early to secure your room for the 2018 convention. AIAMI has secured a block of rooms at the Hilton Midtown which is the AIA headquarters hotel. More here about the hotel. If you are interested in reserving a room with the AIAMI block follow this link. You will be asked to enter your information. You are responsible for making your reservation, updating and cancellations. The rate is $389 per night. There are other rooms available on the 2018 convention site here.

Component Updates:
  • New product supporting EPs seeking licensure. The AIA is launching a CONFIDENTIAL new product in 2018 and we are seeking registered architects to act as subject matter experts to assist with the development. Dedicated and passionate individuals who can volunteer 15-20 hours can contact the AIA Center for Emerging Professionals for more information.
  • Be sure you're covered. If your component is insured by The Hartford (for fire, premises, P&C, etc.), your policy may soon be cancelled. The AIA Trust Business Owners Program through CNA Schinnerer offers customized solutions to meet your component's needs. Contact Kevin Collins at (301) 951-5412 or call (888) 867 9327 for a quote. For more information on component insurance, review the insurance primer here. For more information about Business Owners coverage for your component office, click here.
