The Arts Council of Greater Lansing announces a request for qualifications/proposals (RFQP) for a new public art project, funded by the City of Lansing Sense of Place program. The project will be installed on Michigan Avenue in downtown Lansing. We are seeking a bold, innovative public artwork that will engage and reflect the community and serve as a welcoming beacon to Museum Drive's cultural district. Four cultural institutions - Impression 5 Science Center, Riverwalk Theatre, RE Olds Transportation Museum and La Fille Gallery - reside within the cultural district and they are looking to brand their shared location. The area also includes a future trailhead for the Grand River Riverwalk trail.
