AIA Rochester's
Women in Architecture

AIA Rochester is launching a social media series featuring successful female members of our chapter beginning in March as part of Women’s History month. These features will continue throughout the year as part of an ongoing series about Women in Architecture on our social media channels.

To participate, please click here for the questionnaire.
We would love to hear from you at your earliest convenience so that we can feature many of our members in March. However, if you need additional time please respond when you are able; we hope to continue this feature throughout the year with enough participation.
2021 Swinging Fore Scholarships
by Nate Rozzi, AIA

Each fall for the past 35 years we have gathered as architects, clients, contractors, suppliers, and volunteers for a few hours of golf, laughs, food & drink at the Swinging Fore Scholarships tournament. Proceeds from the tournament fund the AIA Rochester/Architectural Foundation of Greater Rochester (AFGR) scholarship program and are a key component of our mission to support architectural education.

We award scholarships to local students attending or entering architectural studies at NAAB accredited programs. Scholarships are provided in conjunction with AIA Rochester, AIA National, Bergmann, The Family of Myron Starks, AIA, and Women in Architecture.

April is AIA Advocacy Month!
WE NEED YOU!

Architects must have a seat at the table when important civic decisions are made and must play a vital role in crafting public policy solutions that address the most prominent issues facing states and cities. By advocating solutions within the built environment to address issues like school safety, climate change, and affordable housing, architects are at the forefront of solving these critical challenges. Contact us at lbhewitt@aiaroc.org and let us know you are interested!
