PA/CE/PDD topics will be covered. Associates from Rochester, Buffalo and Southern NY will be joining in for the event which will be held virtually. It will be moderated by Patrick Flynn, AIA Southern NY Chapter President.


There is no cost to attend, and anyone can join in on the fun but you must be registered. One and a half (1.5 AIA Learning Units will be given to those attending!

Explore the Framework for Design Excellence and other foundational programs and resources that can help you create better outcomes for clients, occupants, and communities.

Climate Action Scoping Plan


In an exciting milestone of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act), the New York State Climate Action Council released the Draft Scoping Plan on December 30, 2021, providing a framework to reduce emissions, ensure healthier communities, and create family-sustaining jobs. The Council is encouraging all New Yorkers to review the Draft Scoping Plan and share comments by June 10, 2022. The comments received will help the Council finalize the Scoping Plan, which is due by January 1, 2023.

   from multiple colleges and universities throughout the region

   can live, learn and innovate in an urban environment. The

AIA Rochester is seeking participants for a semi-annual Advocacy Roundtable. The goal of the panel is to identify issues important to the Chapter’s constituency and community, and determine how to best advocate for these issues to local or state government. Through its advocacy, AIA Rochester intends to promote architecture, strengthen community relationships and outreach, and allow members to serve as objective professional advisors to local governments on issues of design and sustainability.
