AIA WI Safety Assessment Program Training

This post-disaster Safety-Assessment Program (SAP) training provides licensed architects, professional engineers and certified building inspectors with the knowledge to provide rapid assessments of homes and buildings in the aftermath of a disaster. This training will p
rovide leadership, advocacy, and training to architects who are interested in volunteering their professional skills in times of crisis.
AIA SAP instructor Janine Glaeser, AIA, will share experiences from the 2018 Dane County flooding and will walk attendees through interactive case studies. Attendees will understand chain of command in declared disasters and safety precautions to deploy into the field. U
pon completion of this course,
licensed practitioners will be able to perform post-disaster assessments.
6.5 AIA/CES/HSW Learning units will appear on member CES transcripts. Only non-AIA members will receive certificates.
Cost: $150 for AIA Members. Cost covers training materials, lunch and your CAL OES Identification card.
