November AIA Luncheon
Join us for the November AIA Luncheon on
Thursday, November 15th at 11:30 a.m. at OSU-OKC in the Student Center on the 3rd Floor. Our guest speaker will be
Katie McLaughlin Friddle and our program will be
OKC's Preservation Tools. A few weeks ago, OKC lost another architectural gem, Founder's Bank, and many are asking why. Join us to learn what tools are in place that can assist in protecting buildings and landmarks in the city.
Since September 2012, Katie McLaughlin Friddle has served as the Preservation Officer for the City of Oklahoma City. Katie provides staff support to the City's Historic Preservation Commission, serves as the City's Certified Local Government Coordinator, and participates in other preservation efforts within the Planning Department.
A native Oklahoman, Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Katie completed her AICP certification in 2016.
Prior to her time with the City, Katie was Executive Director of Preservation Oklahoma, the statewide non-profit preservation advocacy organization.
AIA, Associate AIA and Allied members of the AIA Central Oklahoma Chapter attend free and the nonmember cost is $25 per person.
A big thank you to our November Luncheon Sponsors!
