I hope you all had a restful holiday weekend. It’s hard to believe we are already entering the fall season. Today, I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of the AIANTA Board of Directors and staff, who have been tirelessly building and producing initiatives and programs for this year and the one to come.

Now Hiring a Content and Social Media Coordinator

AIANTA is seeking a creative and energetic Content and Social Media Coordinator to join the team! Our Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of AIANTA’s content needs, including the management of all association social media sites, all newsletter content, all digital communications, all online articles and the development of all agency graphics.

Keepers of Traditions, Darnell and Robert “Smokey” Rides at the Door are cultural workers who have collaborated with the National Park Service in their Native America Speaks interpretive program for several decades.

In this webinar, learn more about how these collaborative efforts evolved into successful interpretive programs giving opportunities for dance groups, speakers and others to share their traditions and culture.

The Office of Indian Economic Development (OIED) is soliciting proposals from eligible federally recognized Tribes and Tribal organizations for the Tribal Tourism Grant

Program (TTGP). The grant funding will be used to support Tribal tourism by providing Tribes and Tribal organizations funding to obtain technical assistance to perform feasibility studies or develop Tribal tourism business plans.

September 8, 2022 is the last day to register for the Professional Certificate Program in Cultural Heritage Tourism, presented in partnership with AIANTA and the George Washington University International Institute of Tourism Studies. 

The online certificate program provides tourism entrepreneurs and community leaders with tools to identify and develop tourism assets.
