AIANTA Highlights for the Coming Week
AIANTA is Now Hiring for Two Positions
AIANTA is seeking energetic, responsible and highly-motivated individuals to serve in the following two positions:

Go International is AIANTA's premier travel trade education forum. As a sponsor of the Sixth Annual Go International, you will have the opportunity to promote your organization throughout the the event and on and all AIANTA social media platforms leading up to and throughout the event.

AIANTA has announced it has been approved to receive an American Rescue Plan grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to help the arts and cultural sector recover from the pandemic. AIANTA is recommended to receive $150,000 and will use this funding to provide training to Indian tribes and Native artists through regular educational sessions. 

Webinar: International Market Opportunities: Understanding the UK, German and Italian Tourism Market

In this webinar presented by the U.S. Commercial Service (U.S. Department of Commerce) along with tourism specialists in the Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassies in the UK, Germany and Italy, Native American hospitality businesses will learn more about promoting their tourism product in overseas markets.

The United Kingdom, Germany and Italy are three of the top international markets for visitors to Indian Country visitor and cultural destinations. Commercial Service experts on the ground in these promising markets will discuss trends and expectations when welcoming international travelers back to the U.S.

Commercial Specialists Stephen A. Brown, based in London, Elizabeth Walsh in Germany, and Luisa Salomoni in Italy will update attendees on their market trends and on how best to engage, attract and collaborate with tourism partners in their respective countries.

Professional Certificate Program in Cultural Heritage Tourism:
The George Washington University International Institute of Tourism Studies
May 2 – June 19, 2022
Explore the fundamentals of tribal tourism planning with the Professional Certificate Program in Cultural Heritage Tourism offered by AIANTA in partnership with the George Washington University International Institute of Tourism Studies.

The online program brings together industry experts to help students explore the importance of including authentic Native American cultural experiences in their tourism planning.
