AIANTA Highlights for the Coming Week

Travel to Nevada

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, I attended the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center & Museum's grand opening and ribbon-cutting in Carson City, NV. I was honored to be invited to provide remarks on the significance of the Cultural Center and my vision to ensure that the thousands of Native children that attended the school would now be able to have their voices heard, something that was not allowed while the school was open. It is quite a legacy and one that I am very proud to be a part of. There is still much more that needs to be done before we can all rest easy knowing our ancestors are at peace - but we are now one step closer!
