AIANTA Highlights for the Coming Week
Sign Up for Go International
April 19-20, 2022

AIANTA’s annual two-day Go International is this month and we've confirmed some amazing speakers, including

  • Kate Anderson (Citizen Potawatomi), Director of Public Relations; Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians
  • Jeri Clausing, Co-Founder; Travel Essentials
  • Anina Grasso, Director of Travel Experiences Development; Destination America
  • Richard Launder, President and CEO, Destination America
  • Bruce Rettig, Tribal Content Developer, AIANTA
  • Patty Talahongva (Hopi), Senior Correspondent, ICT (Indian Country Today)
  • Indalecio Vallejos, Director, New Mexico; U.S. Commercial Service

All our speakers will bring actionable tips and advice on attracting international travelers, building group business and working with the media. The two-day event concludes with a hands-on workshop where you will pitch your tourism product to an industry tour operator and get practical advice on what they are and aren't looking for in their Indigenous tourism partners.

Thanks to Our Go International Sponsors
AIANTA extends a warm thanks to Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation and Isleta Resort & Casino for sponsoring this event! Additional sponsorships are still available so please contact us if you're interested.

I'm Attending My First U.S. Travel Association Board of Directors Meeting
I’m heading to Washington, D.C. this week to attend my first Board meeting for the U.S. Travel Association. I look forward to working with U.S. Travel to represent all Indigenous communities in the national tourism message. Look for images from my trip on Facebook

Tourism Survey
AIANTA launched its fourth State of Indian Country Tourism Industry survey. The survey will help us measure indigenous and Native communities’ confidence in the growth of the visitor industry for the coming year.

Please take a moment to complete the brief survey now.
