For nearly a decade, RWF has provided emergency assistance to LGBTQ refugees from Syria and Iraq who have faced imminent threats in their homelands. RWF has ensured safe passage to dozens of endangered LGBTQ people to reach Lebanon where they can connect with the supportive community and begin the asylum process.

RWF recently received a grant from The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence that will help two transgender individuals reach safety . RWF founder Jeff Cotter is pictured above receiving the award check from The Sisters.

Donations to RWF covered the costs of airplane fare, food, basic needs, and housing for 2-3 months as the refugees await safe evacuation from the region and eventual connection to LGBTQ groups once they are in Lebanon.

Many of the people that RWF has helped have been granted asylum in and have relocated to Europe and the U.S. Please consider a donation that can save a life .   Your gift of $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or more can literally save a life in the Middle East. Select "LGBTQ Emergency Assistance" when asked how to designate your donation or mail your donation to Rainbow World Fund, 4111 - 18th Street #5, San Francisco, CA 94114.
