This webinar by AIIC USA is cosponsored by TAALS, the American Association of Language Specialsits.

Interpreters have to deal with a lot of highly complex technical texts both in sight translation and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation.

This webinar by AIIC USA will be a unique blend of explaining technical writing for interpreters and translators as well as a discussion about how to focus specifically on clarity in the target language during interpretation.

Rather than addressing only technical writing, the presentation would explore how structure, word choice, and purpose influence clarity when rendering meaning in real time.

We will look at strategies for reducing unnecessary complexity, avoiding ambiguity, and organizing information in ways that support listener comprehension—without altering the speaker’s intent.

The goal is practical: strengthening clarity in the language being delivered to the audience.
