AITP Members Assists Local Community Center              
Over $34,000 raised to benefit Wesley Community Center
 
Students from our Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) chapter volunteered for Wesley Community Center on October 4 to help administer their online bidding/voting system for their major fundraiser. The students were given brief software training, then began registering guests and collecting electronic bids/votes throughout the event. With their help, Wesley Community Center raised more than $34,000 in one night through the electronic bidding/voting system. Wesley Community Center is located in Corpus Christi and provides services for children who are homeless, low income or under the care of CPS. 


CBA Faculty Ramps Up Recruitment Efforts

Business faculty have been busy participating in university recruitment efforts in the Coastal Bend and surrounding areas.  Faculty are able to make classroom presentations about the College of Business Administration and demonstrate what a degree in business can offer students. Assistant Professor, Dr. Genevieve Scalan (shown in photo), presents to interested students at Sinton High School.

Fall Carnival fun              
CBA Student Organizations have fun while raising funds.
 
Members of Delta Sigma Pi (shown in photo) and the Javelina Marketing Club participated in the 2017 fall carnival.  The event is one of many activities that takes place on campus during Homecoming week and is a main fundraiser for student organizations each year.  The money raised directly supports each organization. 


Hurricane Re-Employment Job Fair          
Free and open to those who have been impacted by storm
 
Texas A&M University-Kingsville will be sponsoring a completely free and open to the public job fair for anyone looking for employment in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 24 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Center located at 1730 West Corral Avenue.
