Students from our Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) chapter volunteered for Wesley Community Center on October 4 to help administer their online bidding/voting system for their major fundraiser. The students were given brief software training, then began registering guests and collecting electronic bids/votes throughout the event. With their help, Wesley Community Center raised more than $34,000 in one night through the electronic bidding/voting system. Wesley Community Center is located in Corpus Christi and provides services for children who are homeless, low income or under the care of CPS. 

Business faculty have been busy participating in university recruitment efforts in the Coastal Bend and surrounding areas.  Faculty are able to make classroom presentations about the College of Business Administration and demonstrate what a degree in business can offer students.
