About 100 residents at Menorah Park outside of Cleveland, Ohio, many in their 80s and in wheelchairs and or hospital beds, filled a large activity room on March 23, 2018, to show support for stricter gun laws coinciding with March for Our Lives rallies held nationwide last month.  Here's a YouTube video of their activities. 

In related news, elder communities in other parts of the U.S. also held their own demonstrations against gun violence.

A "think tank" of Zarrow Pointe residents regularly meets to discuss the latest happenings in the world outside their retirement community. For years they followed the progression of solar power in states like Hawaii, California, Florida and Vermont. When the group, led by Ray Bachelor, approached management at the retirement community last year about installing solar power on the campus, the members expected resistance.

Six Decades of Dedication: A Remarkable Tribute
River Garden Senior Services

After an astounding six decades of service to River Garden Senior Services, Sheldon Gendzier decided it was time to "retire."
Gendzier joined River Garden's board in 1958 following in the footsteps of his father and father-in-law, who both served as president of the facility's board of directors. Sheldon himself was president from 1969 to 1972.
