AJAS Lends Generous Hand to Houston Community
Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services
(Houston, TX)
In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and the massive destruction it caused last month, the AJAS community has generously come to the aid of Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services in Houston and its CEO Malcolm Slatko.

As of Sept.1, more than $12,000 has been collected for the community of 700 residents on the Texas Gulf Coast. Donations are still coming in.

According to Slatko, the historic storm flooded approximately 160,000 square feet of the campus and left the first floor of Seven Acres uninhabitable. The tempest also damaged one of its generators. Fortunately, Slatko and his team were able to re-locate residents safely to the upper floors of the facility, and they still have power and two working generators. Sadly, Slatko also lost his own home in the storm.

AJAS continues to collect funds to assist Seven Acres' recovery from the hurricane. AJAS will wire funds as a unit directly to Seven Acres. Checks and credit cards are accepted. Please call Joni at 202-543-7500 to make a donation. A receipt for your donation will be emailed to you.
