From Ideas to Prizes: ECU’s Entrepreneur’s Cup Success

Anticipation filled the air at the Omni Hotel. It was April 30^th, students and faculty from East Central University anxiously awaited the results for the i2e Entrepreneur’s Cup, sponsored by Love’s. This journey officially began in January, though all the ECU students in attendance had been thinking about this moment since long before. The Entrepreneur’s Cup isn’t just a pitch competition; it challenges the students to think through their business ideas in a very real and serious way.

SELECT OKLAHOMA HOSTS INSIGHTFUL MEETING WITH COLLIERS GROUP

On May 14th, Peggy Saunkeah and Daniel Castaneda attended Select Oklahoma’s monthly membership meeting in Enid, Oklahoma. Christy, a board member from OG&E, was also present at the meeting. The program was conducted by Senior Vice Presidents Anthony Burnett and Monty Truner from Colliers, a site selection consultant group based in Atlanta. During the meeting, the group provided Select Oklahoma members with valuable tips on site visit practices, RFI (Request for Information) processes, and strategies for site readiness. Additionally, they discussed various incentives that can make communities more attractive for business attraction. Burnett and Truner also shared general information on economic development trends across the nation, providing insights into Oklahoma's position on the national economic landscape.

CONDUIT CODERS SHINE AT ADA CITY SCHOOLS BOARD MEETING

The Conduit Initiative’s and Youth Coding League coach, Sunnie Baker presented at the Ada City Schools board meeting on the success of the team’s latest season. She was joined by Sophia Baker & Eli Priddle from Team Radioactive Bacon, who took home fourth place nationwide in the community favorite category and third place in the technical merit category.
