Highlights of Trip: Great guide who knew the ranch where we hunted well. Great personality and easy to converse with. Harvested my antelope on first day and on the following day the outfitter showed me another ranch he elk hunts on and some really cool geographical sites. WY #38. Ron S- October 2025.
Highlights of Trip: My granddaughter’s first bear. Taken in a very difficult location to hike in and out of. Great fun! All the guides were very helpful to my granddaughter even letting her help skin her bear. Outfitter told her she was their first woman to actually hunt bears with them! NM #321 Phil B.

ALASKA #98
ALL-INCLUSIVE BAITED BROWN AND BLACK BEAR
| | | | |
This young up and coming Alaska guide hunts both Afognak island for brown bears as well as Game unit 16 in Southwest Alaska for baited brown bear and black bear. If you are looking for a motivated guide who will do everything possible to make sure you have a trip of a lifetime look no further. His number of repeat clients speak volumes on how hard he works to make sure he delivers on what is promised. Born and raised in Anchorage he is a lifelong Alaska resident and Master Captain.
When you hunt with him, things are different. From the hunts themselves, to the costs. Here, “all inclusive” actually means ALL-INCLUSIVE. From flights, to hunting licenses, land use permit and tags, meals and lodging, even a firearm should you choose! When you book with him, it is all included. Just get to Kodiak or Anchorage, and they will take care of the rest!
Baited Brown bear and Black bear: These baited hunts are conducted in game unit 16. Bears are plentiful in this area as evident by the 2 brown bear and 3 black bear limit you are allowed. With tags available over the counter no need to worry about the draw. You can plan your hunt knowing that you will have a tag in your pocket. These hunts are conducted from comfortable heated elevated blinds. Accommodations are a nice cabin complete with queen beds and home cooked meals. No tents or freeze dried meals here!
| | |
7 day 2x1 baited black bear hunt. $7,000 per person. 1x1 $9,000 Spring and fall dates available.
7 day 2x1 baited brown bear hunt. $12,000 per person. 1x1 $15,000 Spring and fall dates available.
Spice up your hunt with a combo! Black bear, brown bear, moose! Depending on the time of year, all three species are on the table and an option! Each guest is allowed 1 brown and 1 black bear with an additional one bear and moose on a trophy fee basis. Keep in mind, for additional trophies, you must purchase a metal locking tag PRIOR TO TARGETING an additional animal. This cost is payable to the State of Alaska and are available to purchase in the field from the outfitter. This additional tag is not included in your hunt cost. Once you harvest said trophy, at that point your “trophy fee” is due. If you do not harvest an additional animal, you do not owe any additional trophy fees. This is an amazing opportunity hunt for moose in the fall. With Alaska moose hunts on average costing $30,000+ this is an incredible option if the opportunity arises. You only pay a $10,000 trophy fee.
7 day 2x1 baited brown and black bear hunt with option for 3rd bear and moose. $16,000. 1x1 $20,000 - Spring and fall dates available. (Moose only available on fall hunts.)
10 day 2x1 baited brown and black bear hunt with option for 3rd bear and moose. $20,000. 1x1 $25,000

IDAHO #243
FANTASTIC WHITETAIL AND ELK COMBO HUNT
| | |
You will hunt whitetails in a beautiful area in northwest Idaho, near Kooskia in the Clearwater River area. You will be hunting 1,200 acres of prime Idaho deer habitat and also on several thousand acres of adjacent BLM land.
This outfitter has been around many years, operating both in Idaho for hunting and in Alaska for guided charter fishing trips. He owns a nice ranch. Our clients have been re-booking this hunt regularly and have indicated a high level of satisfaction with the deer hunting, the lodge and the overall experience. This area is much more open than most whitetail hunters are used to – almost like mule deer country, making it a really different experience. It means you have time to scope your deer out, and deer are very visible. Shots are from 50 yards to 300 yards. And 7 days to pick out “the one”! Clients will sometimes go back for a second and third time. This is a fun, high-success (normally 100%) whitetail hunt, but it should not be seen as a true “trophy buck” hunt. Deer taken will be nice 8- and 10-point bucks that will top out at approx. 130”. If you want to be pampered a bit, not work too hard, take a nice buck and see some gorgeous country this is the place.
New for 2026 he will be offering 2 elk and whitetail combo hunts. Over the past 5+ years elk have been more and more predominant on the property to the point where he is comfortable to offer these hunts. He is so confident that if you do not have the opportunity at a legal bull he will refund $4,000.
Both the whitetail and elk tags are available through the outfitter. You will be hunting exclusively from blinds so this hunt is an excellent opportunity for someone older who may not be that mobile.
The lodge itself is truly unique – far beyond what most whitetail hunters expect. At 4,500 sq. ft. and located high up in the pines, it is very secluded, making for a spectacular setting. You will enjoy family-style meals. A TV, VCR and pool table are there for your off-hours. Private rooms, log furniture and nice showers make for a relaxing escape for non-hunting spouses too. This lodge is off Grid and the only power is by generator so don’t expect to have power 24 hours a day.
| | |
WHITETAILS: $5,000 per person. Full 7-day hunt with guiding, meals and lodging included. 6% Idaho sales tax is extra. Non-hunters $1,500 per person.
WHITETAIL AND ELK COMBO: $12,000 per person. 7 full days hunting. $4,000 refund if no opportunity on a legal bull. (Only 2 spots)

WYOMING #38
HIGH SUCCESS ANTELOPE & MULE DEER
| | |
This professional big game outfitting operation is based in eastern Wyoming. We have been working with them for nearly 20 years, and know them well.
This outfit conducts all hunts on private ranches encompassing over 6,000 acres of prime habitat for elk, mule deer and antelope in southeast Wyoming. Working closely with the ranch owners allows the outfitter to maintain quality hunting on all of the ranches, and in doing so produce some fantastic trophies.
Most of the hunting is done from 4-wheel drives, ATVs and on foot. Locating animals by glassing is the norm, and then making the stalk on foot. The guides are all licensed professionals who have spent their entire lives hunting in this area. All of them are very accomplished trophy hunters themselves that understand what makes a quality hunt for the client. Knowing the country and behavior of the animals is their business, and they are good at what they do.
Mule deer here will typically run from around 160”-190”. They tend to have good width and mass as well. And of course having spent most of their lives on relatively secluded private lands with difficult public access, they tend to have age and be a bit more approachable. You will do plenty of glassing, try to put them to bed and then make your stalk. Success on mule deer is historically very close to 100% (100% the last 3 years!).
They have some high-success rifle antelope hunts (usually 100%). This area has some excellent genetics for mass and length, and good prongs. Plenty of animals so you can be selective on this hunt. Some clients also do the mule deer/antelope combo hunts, as mule deer tags are an easy draw here. Normally we expect 100% kill on both species. The antelope seasons begin in early October. Hunts are 3 days, which is normally plenty of time. Both Areas are equal in production of trophy antelope. The ranches are managed to produce high numbers of antelope, and great buck-to-doe ratios.
They hunt Areas 34 and 38-1. Area 34 will likely take 0.5 points to draw a Special License and 4+ for Regular, while Area 38-1 will likely take 5+ points to draw a Regular License and 3+ points for the more expensive Special License.

TEXAS #123
CANCELLATION DISCOUNT TROPHY AOUDAD
| | |
These hunts take place in the mountains of West Texas, on approx. 80,000 acres, with a year-round population of aoudad. Although you can cover a lot of ground on 4 wheelers, this hunt can be physically demanding and it will be to your advantage to be in good physical shape, although they can accommodate most hunters. You hunt elevations of 4,500-6,500 feet on some rugged rocky terrain in a typical desert habitat; rocky slopes and good balance and quality boots and footwork do help. Temperatures range from 20 degrees to 85 degrees. Shots will average between 150 to 350 yards, although terrain can cause some shots to be 400+ yards.
These are tough animals and we recommend at least a .270 rifle. Javelina are sometimes available as well, at no extra charge. There are no wild hogs on the ranch. Arrive the day before your hunt, sight-in your rifle, and likely go hunting that afternoon. The closest airport is El Paso, and you will meet the outfitter in Van Horn. We have done this hunt ourselves!

Due to a couple cancellation, the regular price of $6,250 is now reduced to $5,250 per person 2x1 for 3 ½ days, including meals and lodging, in-field transportation and trophy prep.
DATES: February 5-7(4 spots), February 10-12(2 spots), February 15-17(2 spots) and February 19 - 21(2-3 spots).

NEW MEXICO #321
HIGH SUCCESS AFFORDABLE BLACK BEAR HOUND HUNTS
| | |
This outfitter hunts lions, bears, elk, antelope, mule deer and oryx. New Mexico is well known for its very good elk hunting. Less well known are its excellent bear populations and mountain lion populations. It takes hardworking, dedicated outfitters with good packs of dogs to produce these elusive predators. But that is exactly what this outfitter loves to do! Typically, there will be multiple vehicles out looking for tracks at all hours, and then when found he gets you on the animal!
BEAR HUNTS: With minimal hunting pressure they can get quite large. And his area has enough elevation and wild country to get good snows, and that adds to his success. New Mexico has many color phase bears; cinnamon, brown, blonde and more. You will find more color phase here than any of the more northern hunts in the US or Canada. His elevations in north central New Mexico average 6,000 to 9,000 feet. He hunts Units 6C, 51 and 5B. These are not hunts for the faint of heart. Bears do not always climb trees, and the mountains can be steep. And bears can really hurt dogs, so keeping up is important. Guides may do most of the dog protection, but you need to still be fit. We at Hunt Nation figure this bear hunt with hounds is a 7 for effort, on a 10 scale. Be in shape. If you are, then his success rate averages over 90% and tags are over the counter. No draw required. We at Hunt Nation have sent 7 clients bear hunting with this outfitter the last 3 years and all hunters have tagged a bear!

WYOMING #44
VERY AFFORDABLE HIGH SUCCESS ARCHERY ANTELOPE
| | |
This is a small family operation run by the outfitter along with his wife and son, who are lifelong Wyoming natives. They have lived in the Kaycee area all of their life, and hunt only private land, which helps to ensure relatively unpressured antelope. Established in 1999, they like to give their clients the best hunt possible at a reasonable price. They specialize in pronghorn antelope hunting on private lands. Success rates have historically been 100% on rifle and archery antelope hunts. This outfitter is fully dedicated to providing a first-class, professional outfitting service to all hunters. Guides are well prepared and will do their best to fulfill the hunter’s expectations in the field. Just do not expect giant antelope here, but normally good numbers of bucks. Last year took between 1-2 preference points.
These are “motel” hunts. There are some inns and hotels in town, and a campground with decent cabins to rent. For more choices there are more motels about 50 minutes away. The outfitter meets you in Kaycee and provides lunch, snacks, and drinks in the field. Also field prep, and delivery of harvested animals to the local meat processor. The hunter will provide their own lodging, their breakfast and their own evening meals. There are just a couple of restaurants in Kaycee, and one KOA-type camp ground. Nothing fancy out here!

NEW MEXICO/ARIZONA #351
ARIZONA MOUNTAIN LION HOUND HUNTS, COMBO WITH BLACK BEAR
| | |
This outfitter/guide has hunted our clients for about 10 years, before starting up his own operation in 2023, and the consistent yearly results prove he has the goods. He hunts New Mexico and also Arizona and, in addition to elk, he also hunts mule deer, lions, black bears, Coues deer, javelina and more. As an avid houndsman with excellent dry ground hounds that he personally trains himself, he naturally gets into a lot of wild country, thus ensuring you have a knowledgeable, fit and capable outfitter.
Mountain lion and black bear: This is a hound hunt in Arizona where he hunts various areas including Globe, Prescott and Winslow. You will drive around in either side by sides or 4x4 trucks looking for fresh tracks. Once a hot track is found, the dogs are released and the hunt is on. Hunters should be in reasonably good shape as these lions can be in steep country and take a mile or so to bay. This outfitter will work hard for you and, if you are unsuccessful, will bring you back at no cost for another try at a cat. If you have a flexible schedule get on his on-call list. These hunts happen on short notice and you need to be able to travel within a day or two. He predicts these will be close to 100% success as cats will be patterned. Licenses are available over the counter.
| | Hunt cost is $5,000 for lions and $5,500 for bears on a 1x1 5-day hunt. If you would like to do a combo mountain lion and black bear hunt the hunt would be extended to 7 days and the cost would be $8,500. He is very flexible on what he will set up. For example, if you have a buddy that wants to go, consider a 10 day 2x1 hunt for $5,000 per hunter. Lodging and breakfast is on the client. Lunch and dinner will be provided by the outfitter. | | |
