AKG Newsworthy NOLA
2022 #14

It is a glorious day in New Orleans.

October is always divine.

I've decided to write about all the lovely happy things we have in our lives...

I thought about what makes me happy, it turns out these things are simple, personal and available.

A good sleep makes me happy, and I love a nap! I am happy to have a partner of 38 years who is willing to do whatever I conjure up, like going to my 50 year high school reunion in Los Angeles. I am happy to have a dear friend who loves and cares for our big dogs when we’re away. Everyday their unconditional love is a gift.

Yoga makes me happy. Teaching it on zoom, allowed me to stay connected to my class and fellow yogis throughout the entire pandemic and continues today. My happy reservoir overflows.

I’m happy when I travel. I’m happy watching movies and TV. I’m happy when I’m reading or listening to books.  I love playing music loud and dancing and singing. I’m happy in the water swimming or floating. I’m happy in the sunshine. I’m happy in the moonshine.

I’m extremely content in the swamp where I find serenity.

I love laughter and I get plenty at home with Julie. I’m so fortunate to have great laughter at the gallery with Nissa and Christina. I’m happy being in the gallery with art, artists, collectors and art lovers.

Everyday I close yoga with this song...Enjoy!

May the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you, guide your way on...

Peace and Happiness,

-Angela
