ALA eNEWS: CONNECTING WITH YOU MONTHLY

JULY 2025

ALA Girls Nation attendees

Starts July 19: ALA Girls Nation!

It’s almost go time for this premiere ALA program! High school seniors from all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. will be arriving in our nation’s capital very soon to represent their state as a senator at ALA Girls Nation. During the week, senators will learn how the federal government operates and take part in mock senate sessions. In addition to the on-campus work, they will explore our nation’s capital. Visits include Arlington National Cemetery, D.C. monuments, Twilight Tattoo at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, and Capitol Hill.

Make sure you’re following our socials @ALAGirlsNation, where we’re posting often about this year’s event. Are you an ALAGN alumna? We’d love to hear from all ages about your ALA Girls State/Nation experiences and how they helped shape your future. Email us!

ALA Members with application forms

2026 dues are now available to pay

ALA members can pay their annual membership dues in three easy ways: online, by phone, or mail.

Pay online: Visit www.ALAforVeterans.org and click “Renew” in the top right corner. You will need to have an account already set up. If not, you’ll need to create an account — it’s fast and easy! Once you’ve logged in, click on the “Pay Dues” button. You can pay with a VISA or Mastercard credit/debit card online. After your online payment has cleared, you’ll receive an emailed receipt. A printable version of your membership card is available in your MyAuxiliary profile. National Headquarters will also send your membership card to you via USPS mail, so please make sure your current address appears in your online profile.

Pay by phone: Call National Headquarters at (317) 569-4570 with your member ID ready. You’ll speak with a staff member who will assist you in paying your 2026 dues. You can even pay multiple Auxiliary members’ dues at the same time. This is the best way to get your Junior members (members under 18) renewed! VISA, Mastercard, or Discover credit/debit card accepted. Your 2026 membership card will be mailed directly to your home. Hours to pay by phone are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. Important note: The American Legion Auxiliary does not charge a fee to process your credit card online or over the phone. If you are being charged more than your dues amount, you are not paying directly to the American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters.

Pay by mail: If you prefer to pay by check to your local unit, renewal notices will be mailed in mid-September.
