Beach Alcohol Ban Expires March 31
|
How Has It Changed the Beach?
|

|
Panama City Beach banned drinking alcoholic beverages on the sandy beaches during the month of March (and ONLY March). The purpose of the ban was to reduce the volume of Spring Break college students and the unsafe behaviors that were occurring in our community. Mission accomplished.
The alcohol ban left the Calypso in Panama City Beach fairly quiet and less crowded for the month of March, but this made it more attractive to families with small children.
The great news is that beginning April 1, guests may enjoy a beer or cocktail on the beach as they lay in the sun, or enjoy our fabulous Beach Chair Service! Of course, even in March, if parents and adults over 21 wish to enjoy a cocktail, drinking IS permitted at our Tiki Bar and around the pool! Just remember, however, when you are drinking, to always have a photo ID with you in case security or local police need to verify IDs.

Calypso 5th Floor East Tower
NEW UPDATES!

If you've stayed in our 5th Floor East Tower condo before, or have upcoming reservations, you may find it has a slightly different look than you expect. We've made some updates over the past few months and the most significant ones include:
- Adding a FULL SIZED BED to the bottom bunk in the 3rd bedroom, and all new bedding. This replaces the bottom twin, and allows for greater guest comfort in that room. It also provides easier seating for children that play the video games or watch TV in that bedroom.
- Replacing the living room sofa with a new QUEEN Sleeper Sofa. This sofa is more comfortable for sitting in the living room, and with a new queen sleeper mattress, is more comfortable for the guests that use it for sleeping too.
- Updating the linens and pillows in the bedrooms, and added large Euro pillows in the master for comfy support for reading or watching TV from the bed.
- Replacing all of the patio furniture with new thick cushioned comfort! We now have two high top tables, 4 chairs, and a chaise lounge that just invites you to take a nap.

We've upgraded our internet service to direct internet from Comcast. This provides a more dependable internet service than was previously available at the Calypso.

Consider adding our Private Reserved Parking to your next rental.
We offer an extra wide space with plenty of room for loading and unloading. There are only about 30 parking spaces in the basement, so you have less waiting time for carts and elevators, and no need to walk across the street to your car. But we only have one, so it's first come, first served!
