Potting Epoxy Cures Fast at Low Oven Temperatures
Techsil introduces a newly developed potting adhesive Structalit® 8801T, which cures rapidly at low oven temperatures. This innovative epoxy adhesive was specially formulated for temperature-sensitive applications in electronics; and its resistance against oils and fuels makes it particularly suited for automotive and aerospace applications.
Techsil launch new Form-in-Place-Foam-Gasket (FIPFG) Service
Our new leading edge PUR Form-in-Place-Foam-Gasket (FIPFG) service is the economical and reliable solution for replacing labour intensive peel and stick gasket applications for many industries including electronics, automotive, appliance, lighting, architectural and aviation. Techsil's breakthrough Contract Gasketing Service uses sophisticated six axis robot dispensing systems that provide the perfect bespoke gasket every time. Short cycle times save time and money. If you manufacture small volumes or have intermittent production, then subcontracting your FIPG system will be very cost effective.
New Flexible Mould Making Silicones from Momentive
Techsil are pleased to announce three new Momentive grades developed for use in flexible moulding applications. They offer excellent transfer of pattern detail along with long mould life and extremely high temperature resistance.
These new products will join the already very popular RTV664, an addition cure silicone system that can be used in compliance with US FDA food grade regulations.
The Hönle Power Pen 2.0, originally developed with a 365nm wavelength, is now also available with a 405nm wavelength. This flexible UV light source offers optimum adhesive curing performance. It is suitable where heat sensitivity is an issue making it a very versatile option for bonding and fixing components in the electronic, medical and optical industries. Thanks to it's compact size, the Power Pen 2.0 can be used in difficult to access areas and is manually operated by a pressure switch on the side of the unit.
Video: Post curing PU cast parts and why should I do it?
Post curing is a confusing subject for many people. The majority of BJB PU casting resins are designed to cure at room temperature and will continue to improve physical properties over several days. For some applications this may be sufficient but there are some instances where we need additional performance out of the same material.
